Dr. Lucinda Canty, PhD, CNM, FACNM
Lucinda Canty is an Associate Professor and Director of Health Equity in Nursing Program at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Elaine Marieb College of Nursing. Lucinda is a certified nurse-midwife and provides women's health care at Planned Parenthood of Southern New England. Her research interests include the prevention of maternal mortality and severe maternal morbidity, reducing racial and ethnic health disparities in reproductive health, promoting diversity in nursing, and eliminating racism in nursing. She is an artist, poet, and historian. She is a fellow in the American College of Nurse-midwives.
