Thank you for doing this memorial. This stethoscope was there for me in nursing school, first job as and ICU nurse, & first job as a nurse practitioner. As you can see, I use my battle ax well.
I think it’s a great idea to honor people on the frontlines during the COVID outbreak. I, myself, experience first hand the lack of PPE in skilled nursing facilities. Not all facilities are created equal, healthcare professionals are forced to wear surgical masks instead of N95, while others reuse their N95 masks for a week! I remember working in the ICU with TB patients and discard them after one patient interaction. I’m sad that it takes the deaths of healthcare workers for our government to produce more PPE. Let your memorial be a reminder to not repeat the past.
