Dr. Tayyeb has over 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry with expertise in Military culture, Veterans Health, Policy, Reintegration, underserved Veteran populations, nursing professional development, and nursing education.

Dr. Tayyeb is a United States Navy Veteran, having served with the Naval Medical Center, San Diego, 1st Marine Division, and 3rd Marine Division as a Field Corpsman. After his military service, he returned to school and received his BSN and MSN with a focus on Nursing Education from California State University, Los Angeles, and a Ph.D. from the University of San Diego Hahn School of Nursing.

Dr. Tayyeb also has over 20 years experience as an educator, has a Master of Science Degree in Nursing with an emphasis in Education, is ANCC nationally board certified as a Nursing Professional Development Specialist, is on faculty at a top-ranked international nursing program, and has earned the ACUE program Certificate in Effective College Instruction.

Dr. Tayyeb is a sought-after speaker and consultant on topics relating to veterans health, underserved veteran populations, military bad paper discharges, Nurse Mentoring, Nursing professional development, and the intersection of art and healthcare.
